John Spain Associates submitted a planning application on the 3rd of December 2014 on behalf of Mark Reynolds and Glen Crann of Savills (who are acting on behalf of Nama) for a €150 million redevelopment of the historic Boland’s Mill site in Dublin’s Docklands. The application, which proposes the restoration of the five original, but now derelict, mill buildings, and the construction of three new office and residential blocks, is the first significant application to be made under the fast-track planning Grand Canal Docks and North Lotts SDZ Planning Scheme.
John Spain Associates provided planning consultancy services and acted as strategic planning advisers on this project and were responsible for the co-ordination and lodgement of the application which included a significant Environmental Impact Statement.
