In February 2019 permission was granted for Quadrant Three of The Park Carrickmines. This development features a neighbourhood centre, two supermarkets, a restaurant, retail units and a café. The development also includes retail warehousing, a cinema, additional leisure spaces, a creche, a medical centre, one-hundred and thirty new homes, office space, a car showroom and an indoor skydiving facility.
The inclusion of green roofs, a pedestrian and cycle bridge, shower and changing facilities and pedestrian crossings prioritises a greener development. In addition, the area is already well connected to public transport, with additional bus bays included in the design.
This four block expansion will provide an additional range of amenities and facilities, for both local residents, and visitors to The Park Carrickmines. This is coupled with new road access and road upgrades to further serve the growing population in the area, while generating employment and creating a neighbourhood centre for one-hundred and thirty new homes.
