Project Description: Planning permission granted by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council for the rejuvenation of Frascati Shopping Centre, which comprises primarily of the expansion of the retail, retail services and restaurant / café floorspace through the partial demolition and extension of the shopping centre to the north-east and north-west of the existing footprint. A considerable element of surface car parking is removed and a lower ground and podium level of car parking is provided for. In addition upgrades to the traffic and access arrangement on Frascati Road are provided including an enhanced pedestrian crossing.

The rejuvenated shopping centre will consist of 16,020 sq.m GFA of lettable retail, retail services and restaurant / café floorspace, providing for a net increase of 6,662 sq.m. The total floorspace to be demolished, including mall floorspace, is 1,708 sq.m GFA.

Scope of Services:

John Spain Associates were appointed as planning consultants to provide planning consultancy services, prepare an Environmental Impact Statement, a Retail Impact Statement and all accompanying planning application documentation for the rejuvenation of this District Centre for additional retail, retail services and restaurant / café floor space.  John Spain Associates also provided an overall project coordination role for the entire project team, which included NMA Architects, Barrett Mahony Consulting Engineers and BSM Landscape Architects, up to planning approval.
