Luke Murphy

Luke joined John Spain Associates in August 2021 as an intern and has since progressed to
graduate planner level.  Luke obtained First Class Honours in the BSc City Planning and
Environmental Policy degree (2021) and the Masters in Regional and Urban Planning
(MRUP) (2022), both from University College Dublin (UCD).

Luke is also a former UCD Ad Astra Academy Academic Scholar and University Scholar for
the BSc City Planning and Environmental Policy and was named ‘Best Student Planner of
the Year for UCD’ by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) in 2022.

Luke has experience in compiling a range of planning applications, feasibility studies, social
infrastructure audits, retail impact statements and appeals for large-scale residential, mixed-
use and retail development schemes across Ireland.

Luke is a Graduate member of the Irish Planning Institute (IPI) and is on course to becoming
a Chartered Member of the RTPI as a Licentiate member.
