Quadrant Three
The Park, Carrickmines
Overview
In February 2019, permission was granted for Quadrant Three of The Park Carrickmines. The development includes a neighbourhood centre, two supermarkets, a restaurant, retail units, a café, retail warehousing, a cinema, leisure spaces, a crèche, a medical centre, one hundred and thirty new homes, office space, a car showroom and an indoor skydiving facility. Green roofs, a pedestrian and cycle bridge, shower and changing facilities and upgraded crossings support a more sustainable and accessible development. The area benefits from strong public transport connections and new bus bays incorporated into the design.
JSA Planning Role
JSA Planning were involved from the earliest stages, including pre-planning meetings, managing the planning application, preparing further information responses, and coordinating the appeal. JSA prepared the Planning Report, Retail Impact Assessment, Environmental Impact Assessment Report and Climate Change Report.
Outcome
This four-block expansion provides an extended range of amenities and facilities for residents and visitors, supported by new road access and upgrades. The delivery of the neighbourhood centre and new homes contributes to a growing mixed‑use district that generates employment and serves the wider community.
