John Spain Associates acted as planning consultants for Abbott for their new high technology manufacturing facility in Kilkenny, which will produce blood glucose monitors for diabetes care.
The planning application was submitted in 2022. Planning permission was granted by Kilkenny County Council in 8 weeks, and the plant is now under construction. When operational, the facility will employ c. 1,000 people.
