John Spain Associates acted as planning consultants for all planning applications in relation to a significant permitted data centre campus at Arklow. The campus (as currently permitted) includes three large scale data centre buildings (with a combined floor area of over 66,600 square metres) and ancillary development including a grid scale battery energy storage system (BESS).

John Spain Associates also coordinated an application for electricity infrastructure to serve the development, which was subject to an application to An Bord Pleanála, as a Strategic Infrastructure Development.
